Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has revealed that he prefers Spanish giants Real Madrid over their fierce rivals Barcelona.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Argentina international was asked to pick his preferred team between the Clasico giants. Despite spending a spell in the youth academy of local rivals Atletico Madrid, Garnacho voiced his support for Los Blancos, replying: "Real Madrid, simple".

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 19-year-old winger has been vocal about his admiration for former Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo. Garnacho has replicated the Portugal sensation's celebration after scoring goals for United. He even topped the veteran star by smashing in a fantastic overhead kick against Everton this season before doing his impression of Ronaldo's famous 'Siuuu'.

Garnacho had the privilege of playing alongside his role model at United after the CR7's return to Old Trafford in 2021. The 39-year-old left the club at the end of 2022, however, after a controversial interview in which he criticised United and manager Erik ten Hag.
